The Dark Knight: For Your Consideration Ads

For Your Consideration ads have been a tradition of the Oscar season for some time now. Studios pushing an Oscar product spend loads of money on full-page ad spreads for their movie in the Hollywood trade papers (Variety and The Hollywood Reporter) and the internet, announcing to Academy members, hey, remember to vote for our movie.

The best part of the ads is that they're often beautiful -- think about it, they exist to remind people of how awesome the movie was. So I'll frequently be highlighting many of the ads on this site, and I figure, why not start off with the biggest movie of the year? Check out the extensive AwardsDaily FYC Gallery for more.
